Price increases for the iPhone 14 may be less than anticipated.

Some analysts predict that the prices for the two Pro models will rise by $100, but TrendForce believes that the increase will be smaller. Apple is discontinuing one iPhone model (the mini) and introducing another (the vanilla Max), so pricing will likely change.
In fact, the iPhone 14 may be $50 less expensive than its predecessor, which began at $800. The iPhone 13 mini was the cheapest new (non-SE) model last year at $700. If the predictions are true, you should expect to pay at least $700 or $800 for a new mainline iPhone.

Apple iPhone 14 prices

  • iPhone 13 iPhone 14 (TrendForce) iPhone 14 (other analysts)
  • mini $700 - -
  • vanilla $800 $750 $800
  • Max - $850 $900
  • Pro $1,000 $1,050 $1,100
  • Pro Max $1,100 $1,150 $1,200
Analysts agree that the new iPhone 14 Max will cost $100 more than the standard model. The two Pro models are getting more expensive, TrendForce says. There's no agreement on whether it's by $50 or $100 (TrendForce says $50), but new hardware isn't cheap.
The new Apple A16 chipset, LPDDR5 RAM, new 120Hz LTPO displays with AOD functionality and a new Face ID system, higher resolution 48MP main cameras with 8K video recording, new ultra-wide cameras, and other features are included. The new chipset will not even be available for the standard iPhone 14 and 14 Max (if the rumours are to be believed).

Indeed, even with all that Apple is supposedly areas of strength for expecting for the iPhone 14 series, we'll find out how that turns out. The authority declaration is booked for September 7 (Wednesday one week from now), so tune in the following week at the authority costs and highlights.
