The selfie camera on the S21 and S22 series smartphones has not changed (except on the Ultra models). However, according to a new report, that could change next year because Samsung is considering 12MP units. The Galaxy S10 featured a 10MP selfie camera, an upgrade from the S9's 8MP front-facing camera.
Galaxy S23 and Galaxy S23+ could have 12MP selfie cameras, according to reports. It's unclear whether these will be placed inside punch holes or beneath the display. We also don't know if front-facing cameras will have OIS (optical image stabilization).

It's also unclear whether the selfie camera on the Galaxy S23 Ultra will be upgraded from 40MP on the S22 Ultra to 50MP on the S23 Ultra.
There's still plenty of time before the Galaxy S23 series goes on sale, so expect to hear more about it in the coming months.
